ABOUT MYSELF

Hi, I am Hailey Ye. I was born in China and came to United States for high school. I am currently living in New York and studying at the School of Visual Arts.

I like to express and realize some of my ideas through design and art. Because I like to learn other countries' culture, some of my design elements may also be integrated into different styles. 

The reason why I started designing was because I wanted to create something beautiful in my heart through my own ability. When I combine simple elements such as dots, lines and planes to create a work, I feel very excited and fulfilled.

I am partial to some simple design styles, especially some Japanese design styles. Some of the works of designers in Japan I saw on the Internet are very simple in style, with a lot of blank space or filled with pictures or color blocks, instead of filling the picture with complex designs. The saturation is also relatively low, and The overall look is very soothing and refreshing.
